Engineering Specialist

STV currently has openings for an Engineering Specialist in the Transportation group in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.

We are seeking a Structural Engineering Specialist (Bridge design) with 0 to 3 years of relevant experience for a position with our Transportation & Infrastructure group.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation design.
• Construction document production, including drawings and specifications.
• Perform Bridge load ratings.
• Review of shop drawings.

The qualified candidate must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Experience in use of Microstation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Additional positive attributes include:

• EIT/FE certification
• Familiarity with PennDOT structural analysis and design software and plan preparation.
• Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, Finite Element Analysis.
• Experience in use in Open Roads, Open Bridge, and Projectwise software packages.
• HEC RAS and bridge hydraulic experience and scour evaluation.
• Familiarity with PennDOT, NJDOT and AASHTO design standards is a plus

Compensation Range:

$52,858.13 - $70,477.51
