Full-Stack Software Engineer, Product Discovery

Join our Product Discovery team as a Full-Stack Software Engineer to innovate new products by prototyping and exploring the power of AI! This is an opportunity to build on your experience in rapid prototyping and your interest in large language models (LLM) and machine learning in general. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of designer, engineers, data scientists and product mangers to shape the future of Oura products to deliver on our mission - improve the way we live our lives. It would be great if you were based in the Oulu area, but remote within Finland is an option as well.

We are seeking a talented and innovative software engineer passionate about creating new ideas, testing them with scrappy prototypes, validating hypothesis and learning from mistakes. We are looking for someone who is comfortable starting from scratch and having reputation of building and iterating fast.

In this role you will

• Work closely with the cross-functional team of product, design, data and engineering expertise to innovate new ideas
• Building prototypes together with the team to test ideas
• Test ideas systematically by validating hypotheses and learning from mistakes
• Support productizing the best ideas
• Be part of the broader software engineering team improving our technology and practices

Requirements

We hope that following can be said about you

• Has a track record of delivering early prototypes and proof of concepts especially for consumer products
• Has explored the new developments in AI including the LLMs and is excited about the possibilities
• Drives product direction together with design and product management
• Has a reputation to build and iterate fast, while measuring the results systematically
• Is fluent with the modern tech stack preferably including Python, TypeScriipt
• Is fluent in coding using modern tools and tech for efficiency
• Is known as a good communicator - both verbally and in writing
• Preferably, has experience with Swift, Kotlin or both
• Preferably, has been part of a team shipping consumer products for web or mobile
