  Description   Technical Development Program (TDP) Internship - Engineering Summer 2024 Position Locations:  Freeport, TX    At BASF we are creating chemistry for a sustainable future. Apply for the TDP Program Summer Internship.   Program Summary   We offer highly motivated, undergraduate students the opportunity to spend a summer working at the Freeport BASF site. TDP interns will participate in various projects which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills. You will be exposed to the leadership, technical, and scientific aspects of plant engineering. By utilizing your engineering discipline, you will help complete various projects and assignments that will give you an opportunity to apply what you've learned in school. Assignment duration will range from 8-12 weeks. Potential start date: End of May/Beginning of June 2024   Students will be hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency. Opportunities are based on business need at our sites.         What can the Summer Hire Program do for you? Develop technical expertise and ability to build your network with various levels throughout BASF to establish mentoring relationships Possible project areas include, but are not limited to: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.   Candidate resumes will be presented to hiring managers based on requirements of the assignments being a match and fit based on experience.     Basic Qualifications   Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters level program (and graduating after August 2024) Majoring in an Engineering discipline, such as Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Demonstrate academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.00) Excellent communication skills Ability to collaborate with others Outstanding work ethic Agility/Leadership Potential Active Participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations Authorization to work in the US without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
