The Program Assistant II – Revenue Cycle is the person that staff and outside visitors first engage with. Outside vendors stop and ask for assistance and for direction to staff members' location. The Program Assistant II – Revenue Cycle is responsible for time sensitive scanning of work for the department.
Responsibilities
- Scan batches from A/R Cash poster daily in a timely manner
- Open mail daily, date stamp and distribute
- Scan daily correspondence. Examples: Daily EOBs for denials, Refund backup and letters from Insurance payors
- Match weekly checks to Refund backup and mail out to payors
- Daily distribution of faxes to Department
- Monitor supplies and equipment, contact vendors if equipment is down
- Address changes in EPIC, forward to Customer Service
- Clerical duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Manager or Director.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse, navigate computer programs, and use email in a business setting
- Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Under general supervision, ability to use initiative and sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities
- Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to use a mouse, navigate computer programs, enter data into computer systems in accurately and efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment
- Ability to establish professional relationships with patients, families, staff and providers
Preferred:
- Demonstrated customer service skills
Telephone customer service experience in a business setting

The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.32 to $33.20 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
