Charge Nurse Surgical Inpatient Full Time Days

Delray Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse for a level 1 trauma center to join our team.

Up to 20k sign-on bonus for qualified candidates & up to 8k in travel relocation reimbursement.

Short Description for Internal Candidates      

Delray Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse for a level 1 trauma center to join our team.

The Charge Nurse:

• Hold shift accountability to provide direct care to the patients.

• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of other staff.

Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas to ensure the competent delivery of quality patient care. Will only see 2% of Oncology patients on this unit, and 98% of surgical inpatient patients. 

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
• ACLS (AHA) and EKG Certified
• Manages
• Implements
• Work bedside
• Educate
• Ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain safe, high-quality, cost-effective patient care. 
• Supervise
• Will have a patient load of at least 8 patients.  
• May take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictates.

Education:

Required: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure
Preferred: BSN

Experience:

*Minimum Three years as a staff nurse

 *Previous charge nurse experience preferred.

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
