Data Base Development Intern
Summary
Dolby Cinema is looking for a Data Base Development Intern to build an internal business analytics dashboard. Reporting to the Sr Manager Strategic Planning and Market Insights, the intern will collaborate and lend their expertise to building a box office platform for internal use. Typical week will include meeting with team members, learning about the movie industry, and working on the platform and its reports. This position is in Dolby’s Burbank office.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating and developing a long term box office database built in Microsoft BI or Tableau.
- Aggregating and organizing various sources of box office data and theater performance data.
- Building a weekly report that analyses Dolby Cinema box office trends.
Qualifications
- High quality critical thinking and communication skills.
- Self motivated with teamwork skills.
- Data analysis, organization, and visualization skills.
- Has taken a statistics course.
- Software – Excel, Power Point, Excel BI, Tableau. SAP experience highly valued.
- Has built a database for business application before.

ELIGIBILITY
Working towards a Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Accounting, or Entertainment & Media Business. ; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday-Friday for 3 months between May/June 2024 – Aug/Sep 2024.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $39-44/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
