About the US-GOV Cloud Operations Team:***This is a U.S.-based role with a U.S. citizenship requirement. Applicants must reside in and work from the U.S. and be able to pass a FedRAMP background check.***The Cloud Operations (CloudOps) team at Icertis is responsible for the availability, resiliency, performance, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of the Icertis SaaS application and related services. CloudOps also handles identity and access management, role-based provisioning, upgrades, deployments, and change, incident, and problem management to drive faster time to market. This department plays a critical role in building and executing the cloud strategy as part of overall service delivery for the company.
With significant demand in the US public sector, the US GOV CloudOps team is at the forefront of defining, implementing, and continuously monitoring cloud security strategies to meet rigorous federal security compliance requirements, protect our customers' assets, reduce risk, and empower Icertis’ federal sales team. We seek a proactive, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate SQL Cloud Operations/Engineering professional committed to secure SaaS service delivery and the success of our Federal/Azure Government customers. #LI-RS1

What you will do

  • Support and scale environments in the Azure Government Cloud (GCC High), participating in deployments, upgrades, incident, problem, and capacity management functions.
  • Ensure all SQL Database, SQL Reporting, and PowerBI Analytics services run reliably and securely in production and non-production environments.
  • Perform SQL-related deployments, upgrades, and content migrations (P2P) on Azure Government/Azure environments using Azure DevOps, SSRS, PowerBI, and custom tools.
  • Provide day-to-day database-related operational support of product infrastructures.
  • Create and manage processes for the secure operation of customer cloud database environments.
  • Offer solutions to complex business problems and guide professional services in database-related areas during implementations, migrations, and cutovers.
  • Engage in optimization, tuning, and continuous improvement of database processes and functions.
  • Serve as SQL Database Administrator for U.S.-based customers, with secondary responsibilities in system (Windows, Linux), network, and security administration.
  • Use incident management tools for incident analysis and troubleshooting, identifying, escalating, and communicating issues promptly. Own, track, and resolve database-related incidents and requests within SLAs, and develop strategic solutions for recurring problems with operations, engineering, and development teams.
  • Collaborate with professional services, project/program/product managers, and engineers to ensure critical and time-sensitive projects run smoothly and achieve the desired business outcomes.
  • Handle on-call responsibilities for emergency situations and scheduled maintenance.
  • Contribute to building a knowledge base centered on known incidents, frequently asked questions, resolved issues, and applying lessons learned to new incidents.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and infrastructure configuration.
