Staff Software Engineer - Quality Engineering

What you will do

• Build tools & frameworks that will enable effective automated testing of Sysdig features.
• Understand product requirements and use cases to develop detailed test plans and test cases.
• Actively participate in design discussions with developers and provide feedback that improves the overall customer experience.
• Automate test cases, ensure coverage via CI/CD mechanism and maintain effectiveness.
• Refine tests at all levels to ensure maximum automation coverage
• Collaborate effectively with engineers to solve complex problems to deliver end-to-end quality in container and cloud security.
• Lead and implement test & reporting platforms for Support Matrix, quality and performance
• Help less experienced team members to improve tech skills and methods

What you will bring with you

• 8+ years in programming & SW development experience
• Proficiency in Python, Java and automation test libraries and tools
• Experience in CI/CD tool chain
• Experience in at least 1 public cloud provider – AWS/Azure/GCP and related technologies
• Experience in building frameworks & tools
• Experience in testing SaaS platforms and micro services based architecture
• Well versed with agile methodologies and tools

What we look for

• Solid knowledge of vulnerability management is considered a plus
• Kubernetes and containers experience required
• Knowledge of terraform, ansible, helm, API testing and profiling
• Someone who can work in a fast paced environment and quickly iterate over solutions.
