The Opportunity
The Team Admin plays a key role in supporting Astra HQ by proactively managing the workplace environment and maintaining office aesthetics. A core function is streamlining critical talent flow by managing candidate interview schedules and creating a polished reception hospitality for all visitors. As a Culture Curator, your positive energy will be essential in delivering exceptional experiences through food services for team meals, events, and special projects. Success in this role requires a flexible, communicative collaborator who takes genuine enjoyment in their contribution. This role will report to the Executive Admin and engage in extensive cross-functional interaction while keeping up the pace of Astra.
How You'll Fulfill Your Mission
Administrative & Team Support
- Front Desk Reception as needed
- Support Inventory, Shipping and Receiving as needed
- Delivering/picking up parts and supplies from vendors/partners in Astra vehicle as needed.
- Workplace support such as watering plants, tidying up and keeping space presentable
- Ordering, organizing and managing workplace supplies
- Support special projects
- Other office admin duties as assigned, such as calendaring meetings as needed
Recruiting Coordination
- Schedule candidate on-site group interviews across departments, ensuring accuracy and timely communication using Outlook calendar.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates during the scheduling and interview process for on-site interviews.
- Confirm and communicate with outside recruiting agencies on scheduling virtual interviews.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for out-of-town candidates when necessary.
Food/Event Planning
- Plan and execute company events.
- Manage logistics for on-site meals – e.g., lunch and dinner with occasional weekend/evening support.
- Manage company snack program – place order, receive order, stock/re-stock
Desired Multipliers
- Working toward a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in business administration, recruiting coordination, HR support, or event planning.
- Experience working with Microsoft Booking tool and Outlook Calendar.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and provide excellent customer service.
- Prior experience supporting corporate or recruiting teams.
- Experience planning virtual and in-person events.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Clean driving record
The pay range for this role is: $20/hr
Part-time: 20-29 hours/wk
