Registered Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant

Essex Middle River Veterinary Center is a well-established general practice veterinary hospital that takes pride in providing top notch care to our patients and clients. We are seeking to hire a Veterinary Technician with over 3 years of experience and/or a LVT/CVT/RVT as we expand our team. Technicians at our hospital play an essential role in providing medical care to our patients and communications with our clients. We believe in utilizing technicians to their fullest potential while providing them with the education and support needed for success. Wages are negotiable and commensurate on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

We are looking for a part-time or full-time technician with some evening and weekend availability. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well with a team and on their own. Responsibilities will include surgery, anesthesia monitoring, sample collection, IV catheterization, pharmacy duties, lab work, dental procedures, radiographs (general and dental), medical record keeping, and other duties assigned to the technician by our doctors. Client communication skills are of the utmost importance. We are passionate about our pets and giving our clients the best customer service available.
