About the role

Job purpose

The Client Project Manager is responsible for order management of assigned clients. CPM will monitor and update client portals and other necessary client communications. CPM will perform order entry and maintenance. CPM will communicate requirements for production, scheduling, shipping, and returns to the appropriate department. They will monitor the orders as they progress through all processes.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinates all customer orders for each assigned account from receipt of supplied materials and order entry through production, fulfillment, supply chain management, inventory control, delivery, invoicing, and any possible returns.
  • Acts as a liaison between the customer and our internal planning, purchasing, operations and accounting departments on current and future projects.
  • Compares each job to the quoted or contract price and/or specifications, identifies any alterations or changes, and communicates these changes to the customer, Account Executive, Estimating and/or Operations departments as needed.
  • Work to understand systems, manufacturing and shipping capabilities, and looks for opportunities to streamline workflow.
  • Prepares complete and accurate manufacturing instructions, cost estimate and job tickets, and forwards to the next operational department.
  • Works with customers to ensure all customer supplied components are available on-time to meet schedule and provides any necessary internal specifications to the customer regarding customer supplied components.
  • Coordinates any outside vendor services with the estimating and operational departments.
  • Coordinates with the customer on print, raw materials, and supply needs, as required.
  • Communicates on price quotes, proofs, proof approvals and required samples as needed.
  • Performs monthly billing for each job in accordance with established billing schedules, ensuring accuracy.
  • Serves as back–up to Project Managers as assigned.
  • Compiles any needed customer/project reporting as required by the customer or management.
  • Preserves customer material in clean, organized, and undamaged condition.
  • Train with other departments and personnel as time allows to broaden skills.
  • Complies with all safety and health policies, procedures and practices; actively supports safety improvement initiatives; uses materials and equipment in an appropriate and safe manner; carries out all tasks in a manner so as to not create a hazard to oneself or others.
  • Supports organizational goals and values.
  • Performs other duties as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or higher degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative/customer service environment
  • Warehouse, Logistics and manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google programs
  • Purchasing knowledge is a plus.
