Job Summary
The NetApp Business Architect plays a key role in structuring the enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes and business information. They are accountable for understanding desired business outcomes and the aligning appropriate technical solutions and coordinating processes in a proactive, thoughtful manner. They are responsible for the development of an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable and scalable approach, cohesive framework and available industry best practices as much as possible.
Activities and Responsibilities
- Develop business architecture strategy based on the technical, process, and resourcing needs of the Renewals and Customer Success organization
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing key views of the enterprise. Responsible for documentation, iteration, and rollout of said approach
- Capture tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability throughout the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance. Report on goal attainment and system performance on a recurring basis to various stakeholders
- Define and publish a set of foundational interactions and processes that incorporate systems, customers, and various cross-functional NetApp teams and partner with enablement resources on rollout if/when appropriate
- Build a network of continuous improvement mechanics, allowing for a closed loop of feedback, and areas for enhancement. Maintain recurring touchpoints with GTM and Geo Leaders across the entire organization
- Establish a cadence of interlocks with various business leaders such as IT, Finance, and Business architecture across NetApp wholistically with the intent of collaboration, communication, and efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Sound understanding of how strategy, processes, capabilities, technology, and governance function within an enterprise
- Ability to recognize structural issues within an organization, functional dependencies, and cross-silo redundancies
- Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
- Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
- The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery
Education and Experience
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience and a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
