Join our team as a Financial Strategy Consultant or Senior Analyst, where you will act as an internal management consultant on high-impact, officer-level projects. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who excels at building advanced financial and economic models, delivering insightful qualitative assessments, and making actionable recommendations directly to senior executive stakeholders. As a special projects team with a reach across all business lines, no two days will be the same. What your day would be like:

You are responsible for:

• Advanced Financial Analysis: Build and develop complex financial and economic models to provide valuable insights that influence business decisions.
• Strategic Problem Solving: Conduct in-depth research, perform scenario and sensitivity analyses, and test strategic ideas with leadership to challenge and transform current business thinking.
• Executive Consulting: Deliver expert advice and recommendations to senior management, facilitating group discussions and driving initiatives to completion. Ensure all Finance, Accounting, Regulatory, Operations, and Legal perspectives have been captured to enable effective decision-making.
• Negotiations: Conduct transaction pricing and advising on asset purchases or sales, including direct counterparty.
• Project Management: Lead special projects from scoping to execution, ensuring that deliverables are met on time while managing stakeholder expectations.
• High-Impact Presentations: Create and deliver clear, impactful presentations that translate complex financial data into actionable strategies for senior executives.
• Technologies: Power BI, Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.), database tools, statistical software, and robotic process automation.

• Strategic problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Proficiency in data systems and advanced Excel capabilities

Minimum Requirements

Financial Strategy Senior Analyst

• Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting economics, mathematics or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. 

• PLUS minimum five (5) years directly related experience in financial analysis, accounting, economic analysis or data analytics in any industry, OR minimum five (5) years business operations related experience in the utility or energy services industry.

• In lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of formal education and experience totally ten (10) years is required.  

• Comprehensive knowledge of finance and economic analysis, corporate finance, utility regulation, utility operations. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  

• Strong research, data management and effective management communication skills. 

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and database tools.
