Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring Engineering Technical Integration Specialists to join the team in Renton, Washington within the 737 Airplane Level Integration Team organization.

The selected candidate for the Spatial Integration Team will Analyze CAD/CAM and Spatial Integration data to check data integrity and identify areas of improvement. Create spatial integration plans and requirements for airplane programs and customer introductions. Oversee concurrent design and spatial integration activity resulting in first pass quality in engineering releases. Verify integration requirements to support program schedule and milestones to reduce change, error and rework.

The selected candidate for the Tech Integration Team will develop and integrate complex airplane level change estimates ensuring all affected teams are identified and provide inputs. Work with engineering and manufacturing to develop and conduct engineering airplane tests within the production system. Analyze engineering parts data to determine impacts due to material changes and shortages. Query complex engineering and data structures to support production and engineering change needs. Lead airplane level technical design reviews.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Renton, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with teams in the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of complex products. Defines, plans, coordinates and conducts product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.

• Analyzes complex product trades and/or changes and develops technically complete change proposals.

• Contributes to the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes and tools. Defines and allocates Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.

• Coordinates the integration of product elements and analyzes & resolves issues with engineering product structure.

• Develops, integrates and implements engineering technical program plans including impacts, risks and incorporation of lessons learned spanning multiple engineering functions. Works under general direction.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

• Experience using industry standard 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA V5, Pro Engineer) is desired

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)

• Ability to lead engineering teams from product concept, through detailed design, to project completion on schedule and with first pass quality.

• Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience with engineering tools such as CATIA, ENOVIA, PDM, IVT, and IVT-IM is desired.

• Experience with Boeing internal change processes, aircraft design, gated process, concurrent product definition, and NRPD 

• BCA Engineering tool familiarity for creating bill of materials, geometry, and build plans

• Airplane design and architecture knowledge

• Boeing drawing structure knowledge 

• BCA Engineering change process knowledge

• BCA Engineering and Operations organizational structure knowledge

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
