Product Support Engineer - Ann Arbor - Onsite

This is an onsite role in our Ann Arbor, MI facility.
What you will accomplish together with us:
- You will support the development of products through knowledge of the performance requirements, including all aspects of the product design criteria, product function, and customer needs.
- One of your tasks will be to ensure quality in a product's design for usability, reliability, functionality, marketability, and manufacturability.
- In this role, you will support efforts to verify and validate new product designs.
- You will apply design to cost and design for manufacturability methods to support project leaders in achieving project objectives.
- You will contribute as a team member to development projects by carrying out assigned responsibilities promptly, diligently, safely, and professionally.
- On an as-needed basis, you will support the organization's intellectual property strategy by documenting data and independent, unique, and patentable ideas that result from experimentations and concept generation activities.
- One of your tasks will be to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace by observing the Company's procedures and corresponding regulations.
What will convince us:
- Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Life Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of work experience in product design and development with a solid understanding of the product lifecycle.
- Experience working with ISO requirements and other relevant guidelines and regulations.
- You can identify, break down, and solve complex technical problems.
We Value:
- Masters' degree preferred
- You possess a strong aptitude for hands-on engineering testing and experimentation in a lab/shop environment.
- You are disciplined and well-organized in documentation (plans, requirements, drawings, design reviews, and test methods).
- You have previous knowledge of statistical methods and analysis.
- You are a team player with good communication skills.
