POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of an Associate Director, the Project Manager II (PM II) is a team member of C-Path's Innovation in Translational Science and Biomarkers program (iTSB). In addition to providing general PM support for the program, the PM II works with C-Path's Translational Therapeutics Accelerator (TRxA), interfacing with academic researchers, partners and subcontractors, to ensure drug development projects funded by TRxA proceed on schedule, achieve deliverables, and operate within budget. This position coordinates with other departments within C-Path to ensure projects receive expert guidance and support, coordinating resource needs as appropriate to meet project deliverables.
The PM II is a motivated professional who is passionate about drug development research and has a demonstrated ability to follow and interpret scientific discussions and synthesize key points into clear, structured and actionable summaries. In concert with the TRxA team, they help develop, implement, and optimize TRxA processes, tools, communications, and documents to ensure operational excellence.

CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages a portfolio of translational drug development projects.
- Develops and tracks scientific project plans, timelines, milestones, and expenditures, and takes corrective action when needed.
- Coordinates and facilitates monthly project team meetings with principal investigators of TRxA-funded projects to ensure work is on track and any potential obstacles are identified; defines and tracks action items; and prepares and disseminates meeting summaries.
- Engages expert consultants, as necessary, to provide scientific input into projects.
- Ensures resources for assigned projects are optimally sourced and deployed.
- Prepares, facilitates, and provides scientific and operational status updates to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
- Collaborates across consortia within C-Path, when appropriate, to support projects.
- Contributes to generation of scientific and non-technical content for internal and external audiences including, for example, C-Path's website, application materials, quarterly newsletter, press releases, funding proposals, progress reports, and presentations.
- Facilitates a culture of collaboration, innovation, and cutting-edge research focused on scientific excellence, open communication, and continuous improvement.
- Develops and fosters good working relationships among academic researchers, partners, funders, subcontractors and C-Path team members.
- Examines scientific proposals submitted by academic researchers to confirm eligibility for TRxA funding.
- Writes concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other supporting materials.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Escalates and works to resolve issues that present potential roadblocks.
