About the Role
The Senior Strategy & Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis to support the VP, Strategy & Business Development, CFO and CEO, with understanding government relations recommended initiatives, M&A analysis, and corporate development opportunities in the aerospace & defense arena. This role will involve developing strategic insights and recommendations to drive business growth within the vibrancy and strategic importance of orbital vehicles, lunar landers, launch vehicles, and hypersonic, contributing to Firefly Aerospace's leadership in the space industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on government relations recommended initiatives, M&A opportunities, and corporate development strategies.
- Develop strategic insights and recommendations based on research findings to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with business development, legal, engineering, production & operations, finance, to gather data, insights, and feedback to inform strategic initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate research findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to ensure informed decision-making.
- Support the development and implementation of business development strategies and initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret data related to orbital vehicles, lunar landers, launch vehicles, and hypersonics to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and innovations in the aerospace sector.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, research, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey research findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Proven track record of conducting in-depth research and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
