JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Product Manager is driving value creation and market leadership for a product portfolio in the North American Market. The Product Manager ensures the success of the product lifecycle by understanding the customer needs and experience, translating customers pain points into hardware requirements, communicating the requirements of a feature or product that allow it to fit into specific market segments. The job holder is the key partner for all marketing topics with sales, engineering, development, supply and quality functions.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

  • Strategy: Communicate the strategy for product leadership in the assigned product portfolio. Defining and tracking success metrics of products and projects to measure ROI and allocate resources accordingly.  Align with Viega’s global product development to define the product strategy.
  • Product: Gain a deep understanding of the customer experience to identify product gaps. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to perform customer interviews and market assessments that allows to advocate for customers and their needs. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Viega across market segments. 
  • Market Share: Champion new product and go-to-market ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth by translating product strategy into requirements. Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Revenue: Responsible for assigned product lines revenue and gross margin with transparent pricing strategy and ensuring time to market within new product development activities. Lead the creation of product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, revenue, and ROI to be used for pricing and revenue modeling to meet the user needs.
  • Agile Collaboration: Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members. Work with the sales team to perform trend and market analysis to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications. Close collaboration with engineering and production teams to ensure product availability and quality. Agile drive of multi department projects along the product lifecycle.
  • Global Integration: Align Viega’s global product development initiatives with North American market needs, contribute with regional requirements to develop a global product portfolio. Be the customers ambassador in new product developments and product adoptions globally.
  • Meet with cross functional teams to discuss recommendations and implement plans, as appropriate.

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years experience
