JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University, Department of University Health Services, is seeking a Registered Nurse, responsible to the Nurse Manager, for providing quality nursing services to patients in Clinical Services.
This position will require work in the general clinical area and will interview, assess, and treat patients by protocol. Additional duties include patient triage, phone advice, and problem-solving. The nurse will assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with exams, treatments, and procedures. Experience in an ambulatory health care setting preferred. This is a standing 100% FTE appointment. The typical work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM (with 1-2 Saturday shifts possible during Fall and Spring Semesters).
This is a union-covered position.

Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
Typically requires, graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate’s Degree in Nursing); current Pennsylvania licensure, in good standing, as Registered Nurse with four years of related nursing experience that is applicable to the assigned work area.
