Job Description
Foreign trade zone (FTZ) professional that is responsible for developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships with both internal and external customers, as well as abiding by US Customs Legal Requirements. Possess flexibility within a team environment or individually with minimal supervision in a fast paced culture.
- Serve as internal FTZ operations/process expert to the Power Tools North America (PTNA) FTZ location as well as secondary support to additional US FTZs
- FTZ site implementations, manage FTZ quarterly audits as well as drive CIP initiatives to meet internal customer and/or Bosch standard warehousing requirements
- Support and manage Customs & Border Protection requirements related to Foreign Trade Zone regulations
- Auditing of warehouse processes and FTZ reporting
- Maintain and abide by records retention procedures per Central Directives
- Management of escalation processes and potential resolutions
- CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) site implementations and audits
- Professional communication etiquette either via face-to-face, telephone or email with internal customers and suppliers
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and tracking by utilizing the 5 Why’s or 8D formats for reconciliation/resolving receipt/shipment discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
- Some domestic travel required (5 - 10%)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of warehousing and/or foreign trade experience or an Associates Degree with 4+ years of warehousing and/or foreign trade experience or High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of warehousing and/or foreign trade experience.
- 1+ years of SAP or other ERP systems experience
- 1+ years of MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Power Tools North America (PTNA) warehousing with FIFO experience
- Import/export trade compliance requirements experience
- Strong working knowledge of international shipping documentation and INCOTERMS
- Strong working knowledge of CTPAT warehousing and supply chain security requirements
- Strong ability to read and interpret SAP ERP technical specifications, etc.
- Must have an entrepreneurial, CIP mindset; be proactive, self-motivating, resourceful, flexible, well organized, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills - must be diplomatic, maintain composure, and work well in a fast-paced, dynamic, cross-functional work environment. Must be effective in influencing and building relationships with key internal and external partners
- Strong ability to multi-task, interpret, understand, and deal with multiple complex int'l trade matters simultaneously with tight deadlines, needing only general supervision.
- Ability to keep abreast of key import/export compliance issues, industry news and trends, changes in regulations through research, industry news updates, attending trade compliance industry webinars, workshops, conferences.
- Experience with Bosch CMS (Container Management System)
- Blue Yonder, Video Conference and Chat applications (Teams, Skype, etc.), Power BI, Tableau
- Experience in cost saving initiatives
- Knowledge of ICRS (Inventory Control Recordkeeping System) and Inventory Control Best Practices within PTNA warehousing
- Experience with internal Bosch scrapping policies and procedures
- Strong audit experience in matters of inventory discrepancies and shipping/receiving do
