Position Purpose
The Director of Quality will develop and lead the quality program at the Firm. They will be responsible for ensuring high-quality output in cases and other legal filings that the Firm files. This person will assess the environment and develop a plan to address the quality issues.
This person will initially bring visibility to quality issues and rework through data tracking and other operational initiatives and work with operations leaders to prioritize quality initiatives and to improve processes and trainings to address quality issues and reduce rework.
This is a collaborative role designed to identify and implement improvements to increase quality and work with operations leaders so that the people doing the work incorporate recommended process improvements and quality checks into their standard work to achieve desired quality metrics. This person will work with ops leaders to implement the quality program as a partnership. train and guide the business on how to measure quality, coach for improvement, and support the team in evolving/improving quality. This is a leadership position that we envision will create small teams to deploy across different initiatives across the Firm.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Design and implement a quality program that is successful, reducing the error rate
Assures high quality and low errors and rework related to Firm filings
Assures visibility on errors and rework to be able to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve quality
Implement error tracking systems and methodologies
Establishes quality standards for the Firm and operations departments and works with operations leaders to provide training and resources to meet those standards
Utilize and train team members on root cause problem solving methods to drive quality improvements
Works with operations leaders to improve processes and training to meet quality and rework standards
Develops and work with operations leaders to implement quality control mechanisms across operations to support high quality output
Prepares process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends related to quality and rework
Develops and implements appropriate quality control measures and works with leadership on initiatives to reach those goals
Develops teams as appropriate to support this role by recruiting, selecting, orienting, developing, and overseeing team members.

Minimum Qualifications
BA or BS in related discipline
Five to 10 years’ experience in operations
Experience with engineering process improvements
5 years’ leadership experience
Strong technological skills
Experience with MS Word, Excel,
