Responsibilities

The Coding & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coding and development of services and processes to be utilized by physicians and staff in multiple locations.  Communicates clearly and efficiently by phone and in person with the physicians and staff members.  Is current with regulation standards and reports irregularities with billing, claims, documentation, etc.  Audits and reports on physician coding and applies corrective action.  Is available for all staff for coding, regulation and documentation review.  Maintains all necessary information needed to comply with insurance billing requirements. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.   1 – 2 years of supervision experience in billing in a Physician Billing Office setting.

2.   CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or equivalent preferred.

3.   High School Diploma or GED.
