We are looking for an Sr Manager of Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Engineering to manage a small team responsible for maintaining international product environmental compliance, and driving initiatives and actions aligned with our product and corporate sustainability goals.Job SummaryWe are looking for a senior manager to lead a small team of seasoned Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Engineers. This role involves hands-on work, including individual assignments that support our initiatives and goal achievement.
Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Engineers collaborate with our team, ODM/JDM partners, and component suppliers to ensure Extreme products comply with international environmental regulations (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, Energy Efficiency, Battery regulations, TSCA, PFAS, etc) Additionally, this team is focused on internal sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives (Corporate Carbon Inventory, Product Take Back and Responsible Recycling, Product Carbon Footprint Calculation, and Environmental Lifecycle Impact Assessment, etc..)Responsibilities•            Managing 3 to 4 direct reports in various Extreme offices around the world•            Working with internal design teams, within Extreme Networks and our development partners•            Providing visibility and status updates from your team to the internal core teams and management•            Keeping updated with the latest changes in regulatory requirements and trends•            Being accountable for delivering on schedule and meeting the regulatory and industry requirements for projects and programs•            Support the disclosure and reporting to various CSR programs such as SBTi, CDP, RBA, EcoVadis.•            Support ISO14001 Environmental Management System implementation, continual improvement, and  certification.•            Corporate Carbon Inventory accounting for of Scope 1,2 , and 3 emissions in annual corporate carbon inventory report verified by an accredited 3rd party per GHG Protocol and ISO14064-1•            Communicate and enforce Extreme Environmental requirements to suppliers and ODM/JDM’s•            Drive sustainability initiatives internally and with ODM partners...o            Design for Energy Efficiency & Consumption (EPEAT, EnergyStar, 80PLUS)o            Design for Disassembly/Repair/Reuseo            Design for Material Efficiency. Recyclability and recycled material content.o            Product Lifecycle Analysis & Carbon Footprinting (ISO14040, ISO1467)o            Power management and energy efficiency features in products.•            Managing RoHS, REACH, WEEE,  SCIP, Conflict Minerals, Energy Efficiency, Battery regulations, TSCA, PFAS, etc.•            Review, track, and archive suppliers’ declarations•            Generate Reports and Compliance Declarations•            Interface between Extreme and WEEE Compliance providers•            Track international compliance regulations and drive advanced change to Extreme’s products to meet or exceed all standards requirements.•            Review and approve all product changes to ensure continued compliance.•            Manage policies and procedures on e-waste takeback programs including reporting of waste streams including E-Waste and responsible recycling practices. Specific Knowledge/Skills •            Qualified candidate will have BSME, BSEE, or BSCE 7-10 years’ experience electronic product environmental compliance and sustainability.•            Initiative, superior problem-solving skills, results oriented, good decision maker, excellent analytically, extremely well organized, assertive, and a team player with situational sensibility.•            Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to manipulate data into useful information.•            Detailed understanding international environmental and social regulations.•            Experience in project management.•            Experience successful team building and people management.•
