Banner Boswell Medical Center (in Sun City, AZ) is seeking Patient Care Assistants to join our 5th Floor (Specialty Ortho/GI) | Medical Surgical Unit.

Our 5th floor Unit at Banner Boswell Medical Center consisting of 43 private rooms with the capability of flexing to 82 semi-private beds if needed. This unit specializes in orthopedic and GI surgery in addition to general progressive care and medical- surgical patients with a wide variety of health concerns.

As the ideal candidate you will be responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provide a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department. You will be valued member of our team and be a part of strong team collaboration. Depending on department assignment, receive a minimum passing score of 85% on ECG or EEG test with accurate identification of all lethal cardiac dysrhythmias and epileptiform activity is required. Successful completion of either a unit approved basic electrocardiogram interpretation course or electroencephalographic interpretation course, or on the job training is also required.

  • FULL-TIME NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE (FT: 3 -12's )
  • Shift Hours: NIght Shift is 7:00pm-7:30am
  • You can utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage.There are no set days you can be scheduled each week
  • Varied Shifts = could be working days nights, weekends
  • Weekend Rotations are required in this role. 2 Weekend shifts required each month
  • Rotating Holidays Required - 1 major and 1 minor
  • Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-Night Shift differential when applicable

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
