Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks a Sales Accelerator to join its industry leading Water Purity sales team.  You’ll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in a targeted region.  Using a consultative sales approach, you’ll build relationships with Nalco field sales representatives and existing customers by executing water purity equipment sales and system assurance programs that meet the customer’s key business needs.  With strong relationships and leadership, you’ll also help convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

What You Will Do: 

  • Execute strong team leadership by supporting, coaching, and training District Representatives, championing corporate initiatives, and providing knowledge, expertise, and resources related to water purity equipment and services to help District Representatives close more sales.

  • Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities within existing customer base, and in major, competitively held accounts, to meet defined territory profit increase goals. 

  • Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory.

  • Develop strong relationships with field sales reps to help facilitate sales within current and prospective customers. 

  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels 

 

Position Details: 

  • This is a remote position.  Candidate must reside within reasonable distance of major airport 

  • Territory covers all of North America 

  • Targeted accounts are within the Textile, Institutional, Global High Tech, and Manufacturing industries

  • 33% overnight travel required 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • 5 years of technical sales or field sales support experience 

  • Position requires a current and valid driver's license 

  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle) 

  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.) 

  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience.  Pretreatment or water purity expertise is strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems OR water purity/pretreatment equipment and services
