About the role
Amazon Security Finance is looking for a Senior Finance Manager who embodies the Amazon Leadership Principles of Customer Obsession, Ownership and Think Big.
The Senior Finance Manager will provide financial insights and business partnership to the Protective Services Vice President and the Amazon corporate physical security teams. This high visibility finance role will provide reliable data and analysis to help with decision making and planning, as well as become a world class business advisor to the leaders of Protective Services. The ideal candidate is a quick learner and comfortable with ambiguity. They possess a keen attention to detail, has a passion for analytics and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The role entails interaction with Protective Services leadership and requires a balance of strong communication and partnership skills, and inventing new processes.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Serve as the key finance partner supporting the Protective Services VP and Protective Services leaders, including input on business strategy, team development, and management of planning processes.
- Perform various ad hoc analyses to help leaders solve business problems and understand the financial implications.
- Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives.
- Drive cash flow and financials. Implement control and compliance mechanisms.
- Manage a team to effectively address priorities and provide career coaching.
- Develop scalable solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
- Be able to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

We have a unique opportunity to see across all segments, build our own finance team and processes, and work with amazing business partners whose #1 priority is securing Amazon customers, partners, services, and employees. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Seattle, WA, USA
- 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience
- Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
- Strong track record of business partnership
- Experience and ability to use Cognos, or similar corporate planning tools
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience

- MBA, or CPA- Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes

- Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
- Strong track record of business partnership
