**This position can be based out of any Entergy location in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi or Texas.**

 

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for supporting the safe and reliable execution of distribution capital projects.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct and mentor contracted design resources multiple projects; to include design package development, reliability support, standard
development, and Stage Gate processes.
Review internal and external designs for compliance with company standards, applicable codes, and design practices.
Advise and consult with field operations personnel on complex technical matters and customer issues.
Assist with storm restoration efforts both local and out of town.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education and experience required of the position

1. Requires 8 years Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience AND
2. One of the following –
a. Bachelor’s degree (any disciple) OR
3. Department Sr. Manager’s (or above) approval in lieu of all requirements

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Good interpersonal skills along with strong written and oral communication skills. Good knowledge of personal computer operations and related software. Basic theory of electricity. Ability to interpret construction drawings. Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities. Ability to work well under pressure. Self-motivated and dependable team player. Good math skills. Familiar with National Electrical Safety Code and National Electrical Code. Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and mitigate the hazards. Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service. Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement.

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
