Job Description
Facilities Maintenance Services at the University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for swing shift Custodial Student Worker positions.

Note: This position is subject to pre-employment, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol test. The candidate selected for hire will be required to sign a form acknowledging this policy. 

Responsibilities

• Restroom Cleaning
• Trash Removal
• Vacuuming
• Utility Work

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Walking or standing to a significant degree
• Pushing and/or pulling
• Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Working with and around hazardous building materials containing asbestos, solvents and cleaning chemicals
• Increased exposure to germs
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures when working outside

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
• Candidate must be dependable, reliable, thorough, motivated, and detail oriented
• Candidate must be able to work as a member of a team and follow instructions

Schedule

• Expected hours to work per week during semester: 25
• Expected hours to work per week during breaks: up to 40
• Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday, from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am

Compensation Grade
Student Level 1
$12.00/hr.
