The Experience Design team in the Capital Solutions Group is seeking a Product Designer. The Capital Solutions Group, a newly formed entity within Global Banking & Markets, integrates our best-in-class financing, origination, structuring, and risk management solutions to better serve our clients as private markets continue to grow. This pivotal role focuses on crafting both internal and external solutions that effectively enhance business efficiency and productivity across Global Banking & Markets, directly impacting bankers, clients, and various business functions. We are searching for a designer who can balance commercial viability with innovative design approaches to join our small but motivated team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research to understand business goals and user needs, gaining insights that can inform design decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ideate, validate, and implement designs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Rapidly convert output from ideation sessions into mid/high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Adhere to the firm’s design system while pushing the boundaries to innovate within established guidelines.
  • Craft clear, concise UX copy that is consistent across platforms and enhances user experience.
  • Stay updated on the latest UX trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of product design experience, preferably in enterprise software or financial services.
  • A portfolio of product design that demonstrates the ability to solve complex design problems and possesses a keen eye for typography, layout, and general design principles.
  • Proficient in Figma, especially in auto layout and component creation.
  • Fast learner who can quickly grasp domain knowledge and understand complex business workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale effectively, align with cross-functional partners, and tell compelling stories to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while valuing teamwork.
  • A self-starter who possesses intrinsic motivation to explore innovative ideas, challenge conventional approaches, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to better understand implementation constraints and enhance design feasibility.
  • Familiarity with tools and methodologies for measuring UX success and a proven track record of using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions.
  • Passionate for metrics and analytics, with the ability to leverage data in designing solutions that drive user adoption and satisfaction.
