Supervisor – Robert Center for Community Health Navigation – Queens
In this vital role, you will work closely with the Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Patient Navigator Program. You will lead and supervise ED Patient Navigators, ensuring the program operates smoothly and aligns with hospital policies and procedures. As Supervisor, you will monitor performance quality standards, serve as a key liaison between the Program Manager and staff, and assist with recruitment, training, evaluation, and staffing decisions—including scheduling, holiday, and vacation time.
You’ll address program-related inquiries, resolve issues, and take corrective actions as needed. Unresolved matters will be escalated to the Program Manager. Additionally, you’ll gather operational data to assist in preparing summaries and reports, while managing special projects and other duties as assigned.
The Patient Navigator Program is based in the Emergency Department, where it serves both pediatric and adult populations, ensuring that each patient’s journey through healthcare is as smooth and informed as possible.
This is a full-time position based out of our NYP/Queens site. The shift is 9:00am-5:00pm and 12:00pm-8:00pm. A flexible schedule is preferred, as the Supervisor may be required to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
Preferred Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous supervisory experience
- Knowledge of hospital and community resources
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work Saturdays and Sundays
Required Criteria:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare and/or community social services
- Strong understanding of employee engagement and supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Multilingual (Spanish/English) or (Mandarin/English)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, patients, and coworkers

Salary Range:
