Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and trusted Head of Global Tax Strategy, Compliance and Delivery to join our finance team. This unique and rewarding role requires a blend of tax expertise, strategic vision, advisory skills, and proficiency in technology. The position will serve as the primary strategic advisor for both internal and external global tax planning and compliance, optimizing tax efficiency, and risk management. Additionally, the role is a leading contributor in developing systems, processes and capabilities to deliver the company’s key products and services

The Head of Global Tax Technology, Strategy and Compliance will bring a forward-thinking approach and vision to advise the company’s world-class development team on vital regulatory and compliance changes and how best to produce tax, legal and regulatory updates for delivery to our clients. These software updates are critical to keeping our clients’ systems current and compliant with ever-changing global regulations and represent a critical revenue stream in our solutions-based offerings.  Moreover, this leader is expected to spend the appropriate amount of time in client facing activities to articulate both our capabilities and vision.

The position requires strong communication, ability to think strategically, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive performance and foster a culture of excellence.

The role will report directly to the  VP, Finance - Operations. The Head of Global Tax Strategy, Compliance and Delivery will be based in the US and may work from a remote office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Lead and develop the overall global tax strategy, aligning tax planning with broader business objectives, and advising executive leadership on the tax implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Stay updated on global legislative changes and industry trends, assessing their impact, collaborating with external consultants to ensure sustainable tax positions, and communicating these changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Act as principal tax advisor to the global product development team for delivery of tax, legal and regulatory updates to clients.
  • Communicate and influence effectively, especially with executive leadership, and explain complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax professionals through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Participate in client events and sales opportunities, representing how the company’s products and services stay compliant with ever-changing tax and legal regulations around the world. 
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws in all regions where the company operates.
  • Identify and manage tax risks to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Oversee tax provisions for financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Provide tax-related insights for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Collaborate with the treasury team to optimize global cash management and repatriation strategies.
  • Guide and oversee entity creation to ensure tax-efficient structures that comply with global tax regulations.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities.

  Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent is required
  • Masters in Taxation, licensed JD//LLM is preferred.

Location

  • Remote - U.S.

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, with a significant focus on international tax compliance.
