Summary of Job Duties:

Honors College at the University of Arkansas is seeking a dynamic leader and team member to serve as the Director of Development (DOD). Honors College unites the university’s top undergraduate students and professors from all disciplines in a learning environment characterized by discovery, creativity, and service. Honors students enjoy small, in-depth classes, priority registrations, special housing and enhanced opportunities for hands-on research and study abroad. Honors college has 192 National Merit Scholars, awards up to ninety freshman fellowships, and 100% of our graduates have engaged in undergraduate research with faculty mentors.

The DOD for Honors College will be an integral member in the Division of Advancement reporting to the Vice Chancellor and Senior Advisor to the Vice Chancellor with a dotted reporting line to the Dean. Embedded in Honors College, this position will be responsible for oversight and strategic execution of fundraising initiatives to support university and college priorities.

In consultation with the Vice Chancellor and Dean, the DOD will be responsible for their individual metrics, including, but not limited to, fiscal year goals, priority initiatives, personally scheduled visits, travel, proposal submissions, and contributed revenue. Additionally, the DOD will maintain a balanced portfolio of well-established relationships and new prospects, manage an effective stewardship program, coordinate the dean’s development and external relations agenda, and engage the Honors College senior-level uni
