Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is accountable for driving the achievement of sales goals and objectives within the program. This is accomplished through strategic engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in field interactions to promote designated products and optimize sales performance. The representative develops and nurtures relationships with HCPs and key decision-makers to meet sales targets effectively. Additionally, the Pharmaceutical Sales Representative educates HCPs on product features, benefits, safety profiles, and approved indications to ensure proper patient utilization. The representative is expected to maintain an in-depth understanding of product knowledge, program details, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinical dialogue that leads the customer to act on behalf of their patients and engage the account to understand any obstacles that exist to provide appropriate solutions to ensure customer needs are met.
- Identify shared priorities and applies understanding within the full account to develop a territory business plan that drives product demand by meeting the needs of key partners and ultimately their patients to drive strong results.
- Collaborate with territory colleagues, other field-based and corporate teams to proactively address customer needs and provide appropriate support.
- Grow in knowledge of the marketplace, applicable competitors, industry, and cross-functional activities/plans to anticipate and optimally manage business opportunities/challenges.
Role Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution
- Life Sciences/Medical/ Pharmaceutical sales experience required
- Self-starter who is highly motivated to overachieve
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions in a matrix environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate clinical product information.
- Demonstrated history of sustained high performance.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify, prioritize, and leverage relevant information to address challenges and meet the needs of key customers.
- Exhibits strong learning agility and a commitment to ethical conduct.
- Compliance focused
- Fully complies with company policies & laws.
- Must successfully complete all required training
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $80K - $130K.
