Senior Software Engineer

This is a U.S. based position. All of the programs we support require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment. All work must be conducted within the continental U.S.

Our team is rapidly growing and looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support our customer and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. We enjoy the challenges of human-centered design, security, and scale to create better outcomes for our federal agency partners. We are a remote-first and work completely in the open source.

About the role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will spearhead the development and scaling of microservices and APIs, leveraging AWS and Python expertise. The role also emphasizes robust data security and user-centric development through prototyping to enhance overall user satisfaction.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
• Experience building microservices and web APIs following best practices
• Experience/Interest in AWS services
• Experience with Python
• Ability to build cloud-native, scalable services
• Higher education degree in Mathematics, CS, Statistics
• Obtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with Raft

Highly preferred:

• Development and deployment experience with microservices on Kubernetes
• Hands-on Full Stack experience
• Think of ways to implement data security at the row and column levels
• Build prototypes, gather/implement feedback, delight users

Clearance Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
