Job Summary

As a General Manager, you will be directly responsible for the overall operation and cost-effective management of multiple dining service departments in more than one facility in a given geography. This includes oversight of a dining operation serving breakfast and lunch, a full-scale catering operation, and a licensed Starbucks store. You will ensure your team achieves financial goals and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Is well versed in all aspects of foodservice management, with a proven track record of success
• Takes ownership of the operation and ensures all service timelines and management/client expectations are met
• Manages all financials including planning, budget development and analysis, and financial reporting
• Interacts professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers
• Demonstrates initiative and good judgment in assisting customers, clients, peers, and subordinates
• Conducts management meetings
• Evaluates problems and makes appropriate recommendations quickly and accurately
• Audits units to ensure compliance with company, government, and accrediting agency standards
• Hires, trains, and orients new management associates

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus 5–7 years of directly related experience
• Minimum of 5 years of retail operational foodservice management experience (multi-unit preferred)
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation
• P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience desirable
• Experience with cash retail operations and retail marketing
• Strong supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification highly desirable
