Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking to hire highly motivated individual as an Administrative Assistant for the Office of Policy, Planning and Statistics. Individual in this position will conduct a variety of sensitive and confidential administrative duties that have direct impact on the operations of the Health Systems Development Review Section Programs (such as the Lifecare Facilities Program, Alternative Healthcare Delivery Model Program etc.).
The Administrative Assistant serves as liaison with Assistant Deputy Directors Office, Coordinators of the Lifecare Facilities Program, Alternative Healthcare Delivery Model Program, Budget Manager, and the Section Chief.
Evaluates documents for permits, licenses, or registrations to determine approval for requirements according to rules and regulations, statutes and program policy and procedures. Monitors permits, survey processes, financial activities, and assists with resolving technical program issues. Prepares letters, correspondence, emails, legislative or legal documents.

Essential Functions
- Functions as the staff assistant to the Health Systems Development Review Section Administrator.
- Conducts investigations and studies of a limited scope and non-sensitive nature regarding Certificate of Need activities.
- Assists the Section Administrator in a variety of special assignments and provides administrative support to Section staff and members of the Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
