Schedule & Compensation:
- Full Time, 40 hours weekly
- Monday- Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- $19/hour
Job Description
- Provides specific therapeutic programs to include recreational and social activities that meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of program participants.
- Implements recreational therapy for program participants and ensures that participants have the opportunity to be engaged in programming that meet their needs.
- Records, signs, and dates progress reports in the participant’s medical record as applicable.
- Attends and actively participates in committees as assigned.
- Encourages program participants to partake in self-directed and group activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Training/education in therapeutic recreation or in the human services field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CPR Certification required.
- One (1) year experience working with the senior population required.
- Two (2) years related work experience preferred.
