OTWAH: Washington Home Offices Remote Location, Remote City, WA, 06032 USAOtis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Repair Field Operations Leader to provide direction, support, and leadership for our Billable Repair business for the Northwest Operating Area.
Essential Responsibilities:
Drive field efficiency and quality improvements to meet labor and material margin plans
Achieve annual sales and margin plans for the sub-region
Ensure all branches are utilizing Billable Repair tools
Ensure branches are following standardized process
Complete Billable Repair (OO) audits semi-annually to validate adherence in the branch
Monitor and adjust labor weekly to ensure target backlog pull-through rate to meet plan
Review projects for efficiency
Promote digital tools to help drive business
Provide routine training on contract coverage to help drive Billable Repairs (callbacks, material, obsolescence)
Drive diversity in field workforce hiring decisions by requesting diverse candidate slates in writing to union for every hiring opportunity
Provide on-going training, development, and leadership to the repair operations team
Provide technical direction to field operations staff and participate in large bids
Responsible for the quality of service in designated territory
Investigate and resolve all critical customer issues with the use of Otis and non-Otis products
Report and present on recommendations for all product designs and performance requirements
Conduct audits for performance
Consult with service supervisors, mechanics and adjusters regarding problems encountered with product performance
Assess patterns of complaints and determine solutions to ensure projects are completed to satisfaction and within reasonable timeframe
Drive a safety culture throughout territory through communication, discipline, recognition and training
Education / Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Basic Qualifications
Experience working with field level associates required
Leadership experience required
Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software
Strong leadership skills, goal-orientated, and self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
Knowledge and strict enforcement of company EH&S policy and processes
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years elevator industry experience or experience leading technicians in a similar industry preferred
Management experience a plus
Travel: Travel Required within assigned territory
Location: This position is remote, with travel required. The preferred location would be within the Northwest sub region.
