Job Profile Summary
This role focuses on providing pharmacy related services in a hospital or retail setting. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Pharmacy Services duties: Delivers pharmaceuticals. Includes professionals who are trained and sometimes licensed to dispense medicine/controlled substances. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. A senior level role that requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Typically responsible for: managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision, coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals, resolving difficult and sometimes complex problems.
Job Overview
This position works closely with other health practitioners to meet the various needs of our patients. Improves the health of patients by providing pharmaceutical care to individual patients and by coordinating the procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution of drugs to all patients. Provides leadership by facilitating the development, implementation, and maintenance of hospital and departmental systems that promote desirable patient outcomes. This position is involved in educating students, interns, residents, nurses, and patients. Participates in interdepartmental committees. This position may also be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of a department leader.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
2. Pharmacist License.
3. Three (3) years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
2. Completion of Pharmacy Residency program.
3. Experience in drug utilization review and analysis.
4. Experience with Electronic Medical Records.

1. Supervises personnel in a service area during a scheduled shift.
2. Ensures that all work assignments are completed in the service area by the end of a shift.
3. Serves as primary preceptor for PGY1 pharmacy residents, cooperative education students, PharmD Residents, and pharmacy interns.
