Job Duties: Supervise the mechanical and electrical shop, adjust building controls, assign p.m.'s for equipment, work with building occupants to resolve building issues and assists other shops as needed. This position will schedule inspections as required by other governing bodies, conduct performance evaluations, work with contractors that are brought into the building to do work, research and recommend parts for new or replacement equipment. This position is expected to be a working supervisor. 

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, HVAC, welding, or other maintenance/construction trade, one year of experience in skilled building maintenance or a mechanical trade, and experience monitoring, coordinating, leading, or supervising the work of maintenance staff and/or projects. Experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Electrical license, grade 6 water license, epa universal refrigerant certified.

Other: Regular and Reliable attendance is required. This job requires driving. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation.


 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Electrical and plumbing knowledge, good troubleshooting abilities, knowledge of automated building control system and fire alarm systems, knowledge of backup power systems and transfer switches, knowledge of VRF systems, geo thermal, and steam systems and multi zone AHU units.
