JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Brandywine Campus Library (in Media, PA – outside of Philadelphia) is seeking a Part-Time Library Support Staff position for 20 hours per week. 

The selected candidate will work four weekdays, covering either the opening (8:30am) or closing (6:30pm) of the library. 

Duties Include 

• Assist employees, students, and the community in the use of the library, including library equipment.  

• Perform basic circulation functions such as registering borrowers, charging and discharging library materials, locating library materials online, and answering questions.  

• Assist with receiving items in transit from other libraries and ship items to other campuses.  

• Answer basic questions at the service desk.  

• Provide basic assistance with technology and computing.  

• Reserve group study rooms for students and employees.  

• Assist with other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.
