About the role

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Executive Director of IT Operations, the Data Entry Intern position will support data integrity and consolidation within multiple platforms and datasets for the Office of Information Technology Shared Services team. The position participates in data accuracy tasks, including but not limited to data entry, consolidation, and correction. The intern conducts all activities with an appreciation and respect for the diversity of people, styles, and views.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit, ensure accuracy, and consolidate knowledge articles in ServiceNow

  • Assist in creating knowledge articles in ServiceNow

  • Provide technical editing and revision of articles

  • Input data manually into computer systems from various sources like forms or spreadsheets

  • Exhibit excellent typing speed and accuracy, with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely

  • Verify entered data against source documents to ensure accuracy

  • Validate data, check data accuracy, and identify potential errors

  • Work with large datasets and generate reports based on the information found

  • Clean raw data by identifying inconsistencies, formatting it for analysis, and transforming it into usable formats (such as Excel)

  • Have a strong working knowledge of Excel, including complex formulas like lookups (VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH) and applying conditional formatting to analyze data effectively

HIRE SALARY/RATE: $15.00 per hour

LOCATION: This position is on-site at our Indianapolis campus.

EDUCATION:  High School diploma required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • Must possess good customer service and organizational skills

  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills

  • Must be proficient in MS Excel

  • Must be able to maintain professional relationships with peers and superiors

  • Ability to use discretion and confidentiality with access to sensitive data

  • Must be dependable

  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities

Desired:

  • Possess a basic understanding of HTML coding
