Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.</p><p></p><p>An excellent opportunity exists within the Material Estimating Organization as a Principal Material <span>Estimator.  The</span> estimating organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing <span>contracts.  In</span> addition, the Material Estimating Organization supports gate reviews, government audits, and negotiations with the customer. </p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do</b></p><ul><li>Be responsible for the development, analysis and completion of material proposals, creation of the Material Cost Summary (MCS).</li><li>Work with other functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and the associated program</li><li>Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools</li><li>Lead the development of Material Basis of Estimates to include tracking progress, validating and analyzing supplier quotes and Purchase Order History, ensuring consistency across the program, and confirming the estimating approach is sound</li><li>Ensure proposals comply with all FAR and internal requirements often as the only material point of contact</li><li>Assess, develop and implement solutions leading to a thorough material package </li><li>Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness in our material estimates</li></ul><p><br/><b>Qualifications You Must Have</b></p><ul><li>Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience</li><li>Experience with MS Office, ex.
