The facility utilizes very unique equipment during the manufacturing process, demanding a highly skilled Maintenance Department for safe and efficient equipment operation. To meet these demands, our team is composed of multi-skilled individuals that possess the abilities to design, install, maintain and troubleshoot anything from simple pneumatic systems, to new electrical and computer control systems.
This work schedule is 5 days per week, Monday through Friday at our Pueblo, CO Facility.
What You Will Do:
- Provide leadership and accountability within assigned department.
- Positively represent Collins Aerospace company vision and support the management team.
- Maintain positive employee culture in management represented organization.
- Know, understand and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and consistently implemented.
- Communicate information up and down the organization on a regular basis.
- Facilitate and document employee training.
- Plan, assign and monitor crew priorities and work requirements throughout the work day/work week.
- Manage Preventative Maintenance Program
- Ensure departmental and site objectives are achieved as scheduled.
- Participate in new hire process, ie interviewing, onboarding, new employee training.
- Observe and follow environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Adhere to applicable engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and departmental procedures.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained.
- Ensure required equipment maintenance is completed.
- Facilitate monthly safety meetings.
- Facilitate daily start-up meetings.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Master all incident, accident and emergency procedures and have thorough knowledge of reporting protocol in such event.
Lead Standards:
- Lead by example – spend time with your crew on the floor, be available to your team
- Ensure operator training is maintained and consistent.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings
- Conduct daily start-up meetings
- Respond to all employee inquiries in a timely manner,
- Maintain confidentiality in employee matters, share information only with manager, director, HR or other leadership roles as needed.
- Promote harmony within your crew and other crews within the facility.
Qualification You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience using computers
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Mechanic IV with back-up lead experience preferred
- Experience with SAP planning tools
