Stock Coordinator
Position Summary
The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.02 with an increase to $24.47 after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.

This position coordinates and organizes the receiving and stocking of surplus material. Assists in unloading trucks, records drop-off information, oversees and trains student employees to ensure the sales floor is stocked in an orderly, professional manner. Maintains clean and orderly receiving, storage and staging areas, both interior and exterior.
Regular in-person attendance is required to meet business and customer needs.

Minimum Requirements
- Three years experience as a Surplus Worker II or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Working knowledge of the tools, equipment, and processes used in surplus operations.
- Possession or attainment of an MSU Forklift Operator's permit prior to completion of applicable probation or trial period.
- Frequent lifting of 26 to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of over 75 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
Experience operating a Bobcat and/or back hoe.
A demonstrated interest in reuse and recycling.
A creative and innovative lifelong learner with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population; able to problem solve within a collaborative team
environment; ability to understand different perspectives while utilizing expert knowledge of the technical operations of the job.

Summary of Physical Demands
Lifting items from floor and placing in carts or on shelves. Lifting and dumping receptacles. Up to 75 lbs.
Carrying items from storage to display or vice versa. Up to 50 lbs.
Pushing carts of items through buildings to loading docks or trucks in outside areas. Pushing large containers. Up to 300 lbs.
Climbing in and out of trucks and onto tailgates. Climbing ladder to store or retrieve an item Up to 25 lbs.
