Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the monthly close process and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Work collaboratively with the client on forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Review and analyze general ledger accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Manage cash flow and monitor bank activity.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and tax filings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or work experience equivalent
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting.
• Previous experience in public accounting or consulting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience managing a team and ability to mentor and provide guidance to staff.
