About the role
The Senior Customer Insights Researcher position will be part of a core Research Team that helps the organisation make informed choices by identifying new market opportunities, evaluating products' market position against their competitors, and finding the most effective methods to market products. The team also helps Adaptavist become more customer-centric, synthesising customer insights to inform business decisions and product development and ensuring that our product line fits customers' needs.
As part of the team, the Customer Insights Researcher will be either primarily responsible for collecting, analysing and presenting quantitative and qualitative research or acting as a consultant to guide the research process, from planning to delivering insights. The role’s priorities are identifying new market opportunities to diversify Adaptavist's product portfolio and customer base segmentation to aid messaging and pricing strategies.

You will be joining Adaptavist's research team, which is composed of 7 members globally. This team works as a service within Adaptavist through the UX Research Service Desk. Their mission is to help product teams build the right products and make sure that they are useful and usable. This team also helps Adaptavist become more customer-centric, synthesising customer insights to inform business conclusions, and product development and ensuring that our product line fits customers' needs.

What you'll be doing
- Showcase the value of research by developing impactful insights capable of disambiguating critical business choices.
- Help create and maintain a central knowledge base of our customers to guide our messaging and pricing strategies.
- Deliver research insights with confidence and persuasiveness to drive product development and inform marketing strategies.
- Work with management and product teams to build a better understanding of research outcomes and their value throughout Adaptavist.
- Deliver insightful user needs evaluation to commercially viable opportunities.
- Understand business requirements and design research processes to satisfy them.
- Collect data on consumers, competitors and the marketplace and synthesise it in actionable insights, reports and presentations.
- Conduct quantitative research, such as processing and interpreting analytics data or designing, distributing and metric surveys.
- Conduct qualitative research, such as designing, conducting and analysing data from field research, workshops, one-to-one interviews, or focus groups.
- Conducting any other kind of research relevant to satisfy the research and business objectives, specially competitor-focused research (e.g. SWOT data, desk research, etc.)
- Provide recommendations based on research outcomes to product teams in a succinct, impactful, and efficient manner.
- Support other professionals within Adaptavist to conduct research through expertise in research methodology and practical know-how.
- Inspire teams to take on customer research as a permanent enterprise and guide them in their first research efforts.
