Job Description

The Role

 

We are looking for a Summer Internship 2024 to join the Software Engineering group in the Mobile Solutions Division who develops a wide variety of applications to support the design, test, and performance analysis of leading-edge analog hardware devices for the Cellular/Mobile device industry. Being the end users of our tools, we work directly with all engineering disciplines within Skyworks and receive continuous feedback throughout the development cycle. This enables us to move quickly while keeping the success rate high for each project. You will gain firsthand experience developing user-based applications for the web and desktop, including participating in all aspects of the software life cycle.

 

We are looking for a student who is available for 3 months from May/June - August/September.

Development Efforts

 

• Company-wide solutions used across many Skyworks sites

• High-level automation for hardware testing and performance analysis

• Graphical analysis tools and automated report generation

• Flexible GUIs for complex feature sets, with an emphasis on ease of use

• Convert .NET desktop programs to web-based applications

Responsibilities

 

• Gather specifications, design, implement, test, and maintain software projects through entire life cycle

• Work with hardware engineers to develop requirements

• Participate in code reviews and issue tracking

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for all tools

• Write documentation for users and provide training on tool usage

Requirements

 

• Currently enrolled as an Undergraduate or Graduate student in BSCE/BSEE or Computer Science

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work in and thrive in a team environment

• Experience with application/web development is a plus

• Experience with Docker is a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
