We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Product Designer at CoStar, you will play a pivotal role in designing solutions that provide CRE professionals with the tools they need to make informed decisions, stay updated with industry news, and take strategic actions.

This position is in Richmond and with a hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite / 1 day remote.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for complex features and products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to deeply understand user needs and business requirements.
• Plan and conduct comprehensive user research studies, usability testing sessions, and gather feedback from various stakeholders to inform design decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop detailed user flows, data-rich wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and pixel-perfect designs for new features and enhancements to existing products, ensuring a cohesive and delightful user experience.
• Create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that prioritize user experience, accessibility, and adhere to best practices in UI design and information architecture.
• Closely partner with Engineering teams to ensure designs are accurately and efficiently implemented, providing clear documentation and guidelines.
• Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and industry trends, leveraging your experience to make informed design decisions.
• Play a key role in maintaining and evolving the design system, promoting consistency and scalability across the product ecosystem.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
• 5+ years of experience in product design, human-computer interaction, usability and user interface design, and/or visual design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects, including user research, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs, demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and techniques.
• Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard tools.
• Proven ability to lead design projects, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate design rationale and decisions.
• Extensive experience in designing data-rich interfaces, workflows, and complex information architectures.
• Proficiency in using and contributing to a design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the product ecosystem.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints.
• A track record of commitment to prior employers.
