General Notes

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) is the governing body for interscholastic activities and competitions for its member schools in Texas. It is the largest inter-school organization of its kind in the world, offering academic, athletic and music extracurricular activities.

Purpose

To provide operational support to UIL mailroom and other departments in support of UIL activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with printing assignments and inventory of supplies, including UIL Academic study materials, general supplies, publications and all medals and trophies for state competitions.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down for UIL meets and events and be available and willing to assist directors when needed for state championship events. Assist with preparation of medals and trophies for UIL state of events.
  • Assist with shipping materials for High School Spring Meet UIL Academic contests, including invitational, district, regional and state meets. Assist with shipping materials for A+ Fall & Spring Meet UIL Academic contests. Ensure compliance with deadlines using most efficient methods of fulfillment.
  • Assist with distribution of all High School and A+ contest materials
  • Work closely with UIL departments, keeping them informed of progress and deadlines. Work on multiple projects concurrently, under pressure of rigid deadlines and time limitations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Previous work-related experience with project management and shipping and receiving. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and collaborate with a team. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Three to five years of experience in project management. First-hand knowledge of UIL and UIL events. Shipping and receiving experience using USPS, UPS or eShip Global.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Salary Range

$52,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

  • May work around standard office conditions.
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Lifting and moving.
  • Occasional evening, weekends and holiday work is required.
  • Occasional travel is required.
